Candidate Statement

As a proud SAG-AFTRA member since 2001, I’m here to fight fiercely for fair contracts, residuals, image rights, and real on-set safety. I’ve served on our LA Local Board for two years and attended numerous National Board meetings, advocating for meaningful change. As Co-Chair of the LA Young Performers Committee for four years, I’ve championed protections for our most vulnerable talent. I’m completing my Master's in Legal Sciences at Cornell, focused on AI and negotiation, serve on the Child Protection Task Force, and bring political experience, working with congressmen to push federal protections for minors. Let’s demand better—together.

Candidate Bio

Jillian Clare is an award-winning actor, producer, and director whose career spans film, television, stage, and digital media. She gained early recognition for her roles in Days of Our Lives and Nickelodeon’s Victorious movie Freak the Freak Out, with film credits including The Kitchen, Alien Abduction, Pretty Broken, and By God’s Grace.

A New Media trailblazer, Jillian produced and starred in the award-winning Miss Behave, followed by roles in Clutch, Acting Dead, and Amazon’s Ladies of the Lake. She also directed the teen dance franchise To The Beat! and co-created the scripted thriller podcast The Case Within. Jillian is the host and creator of Thanks For Coming In, a popular industry podcast where she interviews actors about their worst auditions and how they found success in Hollywood.

She serves on the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Local Board, is Co-Chair of the LA Young Performers Committee, sits on multiple other national and local committees, and is a member of the union’s Child Protection Task Force. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and will graduate with her Master’s in Legal Sciences from Cornell on August 17th. Jillian is the proud mama of two tail-wagging fur babies.
